Compassion Fatigue Therapist, Certified Compassion Fatigue Professional, Certified Compassion Fatigue Educator, and Certified Professional Coach, Taryn Hughes is a pioneer in trauma recovery and a moral powerhouse committed to offering applicable evidence-based solutions that work to organizations around the globe.

Ms. Hughes has consistently and confidentially trained teams and coached leaders globally in criminal justice, anti-trafficking, law, international peacekeeping, healthcare, mental health, education, nonprofits, and NGOs.

She brings a deep and personal understanding of the complexity and exhaustion inherent in serving and protecting others as well as 15+ years of experience in direct trauma support, nonprofits, and education.

Taryn’s approach is down-to-earth, accessible, actionable, and data-driven.
Many of the tools she delivers are custom-designed, trademarked, and not available to the general public.

Ms. Hughes graduated from the Green Cross Academy of Traumatology and the International Association of Trauma Professionals. She is certified in Dialectical Behavior Therapy (C-DBT), Psychological First Aid & Crisis Response, Somatic Therapy, with specialized training in the Mental Health Needs of Law Enforcement Professionals and recovery coaching credentials from Texas State University.

Beyond mental health, Taryn Hughes attended a Masters Program in Human Rights and Humanitarian Law at European-University Viadrina in Germany, and is certified in Restorative Justice, Mediation & Conflict Resolution. She serves on the NYC Department of Education’s Minority and Women-owned Business Advisory Committee, was honored as one of OBO’s Top 100 Innovators in Business, and is a graduate of Goldman Sach’s 10,000 Small Business Program.

Taryn is passionate about learning, human growth and development, entrepreneurship, spending time with loved ones, relaxing in nature, dancing, and drinking tea.
