After extensive research and development, drawing on the founder’s credentials as a Compassion Fatigue Therapist and 15 years of experience in direct trauma support, nonprofits, and education, FH&A launched its innovative trauma support services for helping professionals in 2017 to New York City employees. Originally created to respond to the needs of NYC Department of Education teachers, FH&A quickly expanded to offer trauma support and training to frontline professionals across sectors, states, and cultures.

A major development was the success of the first-ever workplace recovery program for secondary traumatic stress - RESET®, which has served as a lifeline for frontline professionals throughout the pandemic and continues to help professionals around the world today.
